Contributed Papers and Posters

Contributed papers as well as posters serve as a record of the current state of research in agricultural economics and serve as a cornerstone for the dissemination of new research findings, fostering academic dialogue, and promoting collaboration among the European and global agricultural economics community. The EAAE Congress provides researchers with a great opportunity to receive feedback from peers. This feedback can be invaluable, allowing the refinement of research methods, interpretation of results, and development of conclusions, ultimately leading to higher-quality scientific work.

For researchers, particularly those in the earlier stages of their career, presenting a contributed paper or poster at the EAAE Congress is an essential aspect of the professional development of an agricultural economist. The presentation of a paper at the Congress provides experience in public speaking, the opportunity to engage with constructive criticism, and the chance to improve a researcher’s ability to communicate complex issues effectively. Poster contributions serve as a visual and concise medium for researchers to present their work and serve as educational tools for Congress participants, especially for PhD students. Participants can also use the poster format to present preliminary data or ongoing studies that are not yet ready for a full paper presentation. Researchers can also use posters to present a new research design and receive valuable comments for their future work.

The session aims to advance scientific knowledge by presenting original research and discussing findings. Expected contributions include new empirical evidence, methodological advances, or theoretical insights that contribute to the academic literature.

Organised Panel Discussion Session
